How do I measure my head?
You will be measuring the circumference of your head. Take a tape measure and begin with the tip of the tape at the center of the forehead, go toward the temple, to the back of the crown and then back past the opposite temple landing back to the center of the forehead. Your measurement should not be tight and would likely be 21"-23".

This is my top question, so I thought I would make it simple so you don't have to dig around our site looking for the page that you will need to order your custom birdcage veil you will go to the Veil shops.

What is the difference between a Blusher, Angle or Bandeau birdcage?
The thing they have in common is they are all made with French netting but are very different from each other.
The Blusher style veil is "fuller". The comb decoration is worn to the back however can be turned to wear at the side. It is available in the fuller look with a 18", 16", & 15" and is cut at about 30" wide. It is sewn on a 2" comb with the teeth facing down.
The Angle Veil (also known as Kirsten's veil) is in a tighter 13" long 28" wide. The comb is worn to the side at an angle. The veil in on a 1" clip or comb. Can be made fuller and longer (up to 18").
The Wedge is a 9" length only that when place to the side of the head near front of ear will wedge one eye. If placing further back the veil will shorten and brush only the forehead.
The Bandeau veil. This veil looks like it could be a regular Birdcage but is it very different. It is a 15" long veil and 9" wide. There are two side placement clips, or combs and has another comb that slips through the tulle on the top of head to hold down the middle of the veil. This is a tighter look and works well with a low bun placement. The price point is more because of the extra combs.
Do you ship International?
YES!! We ship Express USPS international which is $33.50 veil will ship in a veil bag Express mailing box and Priority international, veils ships in a hat box and priority mailing box which is $35.00. Express takes about 2 weeks and Priority 4-6 weeks.
What is your turn around for a veil?
This depends on what you order but I would give yourself about 2-4 weeks. My orders are processed and immediate production begins with confirmed payment (if using Paypal address must match the address you have with Paypal on all rush orders). International patrons please allow 6-8 weeks .
Do you allow returns?
Due to the delicate nature of our items and the custom design process we do not allow returns but in some case will be able to do alterations of the veil (this is a case by case basis). We do however work with you to make sure we create a veil that will fit correctly and will be created with items that will fit your personal style. We urge you to ask as many questions as you need to before starting your veil. You may send photo's of yourself, gown, measurements and material sample can be requested. Dorene is there for you & will walk with you through the process of creating your dream veil!
Do you sell the veil without a comb decoration?
We do not release the veil without a comb decoration. Our veils are shaped, trimmed and made per your head size. Then they are hand sewn to a nickle plated comb. The raw edge will need at the least seed beads to finish it off.
Do you sell your netting or accessories?
We do not sell our netting our accessories.
Why are your veils not in bridal shops?
6 years ago I did sell my work to bridal shops. I did not enjoy working with buyers and shop owners as much as I enjoyed working with brides:) That was the main reason. The other one is I did not like seeing my veils getting marked up 300% when the bride can ordering them from me and get a custom piece that reflected her personality (not the shop owner). I have had many requests to have my veils in shops in the US and in England but I just LOVE working with my brides to much.
Where are you located?
I am located out of the Beautiful state of Oregon in the Great Northwest! Our shop is only for production thus we have an e-commerce store only for purchasing our veils.
