Jill B contacted me with the desire to customize a hat. She was in-love with the Teardrop hat and wanted her design in black and ivory with french netting Bavolet veils. I was so excited for this project! She gave me some basic accessory she liked but really gave me "creative freedom" which is so much fun for me.

The amazing part of having the Bavolet veils on the tear drop are they can be placed in so many ways. You can pull both back for a snooded look where the face is exposed.

You can also pull both forward as Jill did here to create a two tiered look which adds drama and height to the veils.

The hat base is created with old school milliner techniques using wire and buckram for the base, overlaying with silk and then accenting with imported black lace. The ivory and black ostrich with beading bobble just finish the look off.

Hats are making a HUGE come back in the US and have been hot in Europe for years. There is something so timeless and charming about a hat.

Thank you Jill for sharing your amazing photos! What a lovely look you have pulled together that I am sure will inspire countless brides.
